About Nicholas Gould

My love for photography began as a kid. Growing up in the Washington, D.C. area, I loved where I lived and found inspiration through photographing street scenes. I was inspired by photographers like Glen Friedman and Ricky Powell and how they captured their subjects in that type of environment, and this is what led to my love of headshot and portrait photography.

 I enjoy the interaction I am able to have with everyone I photograph, however brief.. it’s this interaction that yields the relaxed, natural look of my subjects and makes for some of my best images. I thoroughly love what I do, and none of it ever feels like work.

My family and I enjoy traveling and I’m always looking for the next shot to bring home to hang on our walls, or any excuse to pull out the drone and get some aerial shots. When I don’t have camera in-hand, you can find me working on home renovation projects, biking one of our local trails or just getting in some valuable family time.
